Change to:
If the weight of the hull is less than 83 kg, then lead correctors, total weight not exceeding 10 kg, shall be equally divided and fastened at the fore and aft ends of the cockpit not more than 50 mm below the deck to make up the correct weight...

Reason: This proposal anticipates a desire in the Contender class to gradually reduce the minimum weight of the hull over a period of years. Many people believe that current materials and construction techniques permit builders to build hulls much lighter than the present 83 kg. Boats built today with larger correctors may remain very competitive for many years despite future weight reductions that may be voted in the future.

The measure failed with 17 in favour, 14 opposed. 55% in favour at the AGM in Melbourne. Therefore it will not be on the postal ballot mailed out to members of the national Contender associations.
